Hey everyone!
On my last post, I was talking about some of the things my school has done. Well, here is a post on House Drama!
House Drama is a competition that Y7-Sixth-Form can compete in at my school. There is a different theme every year, and this year, it was Greek Myths.
There are four houses. PARIS, MANDEVILLE, VERULAM and JULIAN. I'm in Paris.
Paris' Greek Myth was Theseus and the Minotaur. I was an Athenian Child about to be eaten by the Minotaur. I loved being part of House Drama because it felt like a family. Now I know these people and when I see them in the corridors I'm like, "Oh I know her!"
Our script was so cool. It was written by the Sixth-Formers who put in a lot of time and effort. The performance included two dances. The final dance was my favourite; it was to the song, "I will survive!"
We performed three times on one day. The final time being to the parents. Not only that, but there was a guest adjudicator coming to judge the performances.
Guess what. PARIS WON! I was overjoyed. My first House Drama and we won! I couldn't believe it.
I love Drama. Stay tuned for more posts on acting!
Bye! 🎭
Go Paris! Nice Jasmine. And great performance on your monologue last Sunday at the Arts Depot (Finchley). Well done for making the top two spots! 🎉
